Several emails to Ghostery and they still can't/won't fix the issue. They keep saying "it's updating even though it doesn't look like it is." Even tried uninstalling/reinstalling app but no change.

pubblicato il un mese faHi there,
We understand your frustration! Sorry for that! The Ghostery tracker library updates automatically every 24h but the date does not change in the UI, except you update it manually. The support team communicated this in our email conversations.
We are funneling all our efforts towards an extensively reworked version of Ghostery, adapting to upcoming changes imposed upon browser extensions developers by major industry players.
For more insights into these advancements, we encourage you to explore the following resource: https://www.ghostery.com/blog/category/manifest-v3.
While this is no excuse, we also have a substantial user interface update in the pipeline where the issue you mention will be addressed.
Please have a bit more patience! We're happy to be of service and help protect your privacy online!
Ghostery Team - Valutata 1 su 5di Rochelle Shepherd, 2 mesi faIt does not work at all. I keep experiencing pop up advertising, and game apps from Google Play Store every minute. Even on Netflix it is constant and extremely frustrating. I installed Firefox as well with Ghostery and it has not worked.

What we know at the moment is that sometimes Youtube shows the message "You're offline. Check your connection." Simply reloading the page helps fix this based on our research.

A 'must have' tool with an ensemble of blockers, never fails. Also, never works with the latest FireFox update. I need to enable Ghostery every page, every restart.Replica dello sviluppatore

Ghostery is committed to protecting your privacy!
The article you mention is from 2013 and refers to a time where Ghostery was owned by Evidon. In 2017, Evidon sold Ghostery to Cliqz GmbH, a German company which amongst other things developed the privacy search engine now owned by Brave. Ghostery GmbH is an independent brand and company located in Munich, Germany.

- Valutata 1 su 5di qhakazay, 8 mesi fai can't really say much, since i had much more adblocks but after adding this specific one my youtube website started lagging so much that am glad i figured out it was this add-on...
- Valutata 1 su 5di George Tirebiter, 9 mesi faEveryone says it's a great addon. I wonder if they all got paid to say that. I can't even get the dern thing to install. Another chunk of garbage that makes Android continue to suck.

- Valutata 1 su 5di Lucillus, 10 mesi faI gave it a try, but it takes ages to load and allows ads before it loads, which uBlock origin doesn't. Whoever tells you this is better than uBlock is lying to you ;)

pubblicato il 5 mesi faHi there, thanks for your review! Here is a comparison between Ghostery and uBlock: https://www.ghostery.com/comparisons/ghostery-ublock-origin - Valutata 1 su 5di Beverly0807, 10 mesi faI would LOVE to enjoy this add-on, but it's not working! Today, there were 27 trackers that Ghostery recorded but there is no way for me to manually stop them. What's up with that Ghostery?
Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 5 mesi faHi there, please reach out to support@ghostery.com. Ghostery blocks trackers by default, there should be no need for manual interaction to stop them.
