Take for example any album from www.muziekweb.nl : the hover button simply does not appear (both for thumbnails and full-size covers). One can use https://www.muziekweb.nl/Link/KJX0815/Iran-les-ma%C3%AEtres-de-la-musique-traditionnelle-vol-1 as a test.
UPDATE
Please stop blaming web-sites for deficiencies of your add-on. Those images are available through direct URLs and the web-site does not prevent you from downloading them. And yes, modern web-sites are dynamic and display content in various ways. This is reality.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 6 anni faUnfortunately not all websites are the same, and some use all kinds of layout tricks that prevent addons like this from realistically working, or even specifically protect their images from copying tools. I feel like you're trying to paint this as a shortcoming or flaw, but that's a little unfair. Webdevs will always find ways to hinder tools like this, on.purpose or coincidentally. There is no addon that works perfectly for all.
Update: yes, of course any visible image is by definition available to download, the problem is with websites doing all kinds of weird-ass shit to satisfy their sometimes arbitrary layout decisions and completely violating web standards in the process, or just using complicated css nonsense that can completely throw tools like this off-track. My addon is able to work through most of those things, but you can't expect 1 generic little piece of code to be able to perfectly circumvent everything a human dev can come up with that makes its life harder. Write an algorithm yourself and submit it in a PR, Mr. Perfect, or be satisfied that it works 99% of the time. - Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 13150915, 6 anni faDoes what it says and works really well, but the options are limited. Some people might like that but I prefer the flexibility. The more you can customize the add-on, the less add-ons you need overall to get it to do what you want,
For instance, I'd really like to disabled it in the context menu but there's no such option. - Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 14094734, 6 anni fa

Simple, not too many options to leave us there wondering what to pick, yet robust enough to get the job done.
From what I understand, No addon can automatically grab the page name create a directory automatically from it anymore. The developer thankfully gave us a fix in the form of "save as" where we can create a directory to save the files in rather than a full download to the default directory. bravo. Long term it would be great to have the program do what it did before Firefox Quantum, but from what I understand it is nearly impossible right now. - Valutata 5 su 5di saeed_soofi, 6 anni fa

- Valutata 2 su 5di 1diedro, 6 anni faIt is a very useful add-on. However, in the old version it was possible to set-up the counter in order to rename properly the downloaded files. In this this new version, the counter always starts with 1 and it seems working only in chrome. It is possible to restore the old version at least in Firefox?

pubblicato il 6 anni fabug reports go on the support site (gitlab, linked on the main page, or my email), not in AMO reviews. It's the rules and just common sense, and it is that way with every project. I'll look into your issue when I can though, follow progress here: https://gitlab.com/Marnes/doubleclick-image-downloader/issues/46 - Valutata 1 su 5di secpol, 6 anni faI have a lot of folders with images of different subjects, and move images from the download folder to thematic folders - kill time. Useless application. Add save as.

pubblicato il 6 anni fa"save as" is built into every browser. This addon is for people who want to skip that. Not my fault you expect something from my addon that isn't its goal. - Valutata 1 su 5di Utente Firefox 13774596, 6 anni fa

pubblicato il 6 anni faYou should really include a reason why you rate it lowly. If your problem is the recent bug with firefox 58.0.1 where the "save as" dialog appears, that's a firefox bug I can't reproduce (nor fix) so far. Bugs are not allowed as motivation for downrating an addon on AMO, exactly because of situations like this. - Valutata 5 su 5di Shubham Parihar, 6 anni fa
- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 13700469, 6 anni faIt is really wonderful how, when this extension activates, it grays out the image for a second to let you know that it worked, and it also shows the file name on the right side to ensure that you've not accidentally saved the same picture twice. If it happens that two different pictures being saved have the same name on the website, it kindly automatically adds a number to the end of the file name so there is no hassle! It didn't work for me before I updated to Firefox 57, but that really was a matter of updating Firefox. 5 stars, thank you developer!
- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 13680229, 6 anni faWorks really well. Only problem I have is the notifications for downloads stay on screen for a bit longer than I'd like, can't figure out how to change the duration if it's possible. Also, it seems to tell me that an 'image' has been downloaded whenever I finish any download, even if it's not an image. But I can still rate 5 stars, these are pretty minor issues compared to how much trouble this add-on saves me.

pubblicato il 6 anni faSorry, how long the notifications stay on screen isn't for my addon to decide. The issue with other downloads is an old one that should be fixed since long ago. Are you sure your firefox and addon are up to date? Please use my listed email address to reply. - Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 13662969, 6 anni faDoes a great job, I am using the hover over image for one click saving of images, would be great to be able to choose the default download folder for the images.
Thank you.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 6 anni faGlad you like it. Choosing a custom downloads folder will not be done: it's a bad idea and not even possible in/allowed by any browser anyway. All downloads in a browser will always go to the browser's download folder (or a subfolder within it). - Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 13615247, 6 anni fa
