- Valutata 2 su 5di Gunner, 10 giorni faIt does what it says it does, however, it increases page load times by an unacceptable amount. Pages load instantly with the extension disabled. With it on, load times are anywhere from 3 to 5 seconds. That doesn't sound like a lot until you're sitting through it on every page load. And those 3 to 5 seconds add up after just a few minutes of browsing. Honestly this extension shouldn't even have to exist. There's no reason Firefox doesn't have a native dark mode like literally every other browser does. I thought this would be the fix, but it comes up a little short for me.
- Valutata 2 su 5di grizzler, un mese faUsed to be five stars, but Dark Reader is slowing Firefox down far too much these days... :(

- Valutata 2 su 5di Freeroamer696, 2 mesi faUnfortunately this ext has been unusable of late(2/25/24). Firefox (on more than 1 occasion) suggested I disable it to improve performance. Slows down site loading, freezes and missing items are a constant now. If it returns to it's previous functionality I would happily reinstall as it was great, but until then, it has to go for my browser to remain functional. Hope a fix is incoming....

- Valutata 2 su 5di Leo, 3 mesi faVery useful but its really affecting Firefox's performance with its resource demands!
This is the second time I installed and uninstalled it because I noticed how much it kept slowing down Firefox! - Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 15258288, 3 mesi faworked great in edge but in firefox it always flickers and messes up ui in many pages like facebook messenger
- Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 18268214, 3 mesi faAlmost doubles Firefox's CPU usage. It was causing stuttering on a stream I was watching. Awful performance, isn't worth what it does.
- Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 14492264, 3 mesi faFunctionality is good, but it freezes or really slow down the Firefox. On mobile it's unusable, on desktop it ruins the performance. Even on sites with disabled filter.
- Valutata 2 su 5di Nocturne, 4 mesi faI still remember how great it was when it could actually auto-detect site theme without relying on OS theme...
And there are STILL bug when if you switch auto -> on -> auto that it'll discard saved options and will default to "OS theme" even tho it's not even checked - Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 15848924, 4 mesi fallevaba usando esta extensión años.
- Valutata 2 su 5di danger89, 5 mesi faI like the addon very much, but the webpages are slowed down by a factor 2 or 3! So no thanks.. It's just too slow.
- Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 13646205, 5 mesi faEvery time there is a firefox update I have to remove dark reader and install it all over again on my several firefox installs. Very annoying.
- Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 15222006, 5 mesi faNot great. Just inverting colors which makes images appear inverted as well. Was hoping this was a true dark mode.
- Valutata 2 su 5di me, 5 mesi fawas great. now breaking lots of pages- wikipedia, and links open in new tabs.
linux based firefox 120 64bit
why don't all websites offer dark mode? - Valutata 2 su 5di Hassan TR, 5 mesi fa
- Valutata 2 su 5di ChefExperte, 5 mesi faWhile it works on some pages, it breaks many pages for no reason. Some buttons cannot be clicked anymore, some text blocks disappear, ui elements get moved around and other problems. On the most recent Firefox version some tabs just constantly crash. Nice idea for a plugin, but it does not work...

- Valutata 2 su 5di HaricotsDeLiam, 8 mesi faAutomation is broken when used on Firefox for macOS. When the extension is set to follow the system dark theme and macOS is set to "Auto" instead of "Light" or "Dark", Dark Reader mistakenly thinks the system is set to "Light" no matter what time of day it is.
Downloading any of the past 25 older versions of the extension doesn't resolve the problem.
The Chrome version of this extension has no such issues. - Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 18029466, 8 mesi fa
- Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 17998462, 9 mesi faLately it interferes with too many websites. So many sites, especially for news, use the "read more" button to see beyond the first paragraph or so, but I can't click it. I have to disable this addon before it works. I wish dark mode were more of the default across the web because it's so much better for your eyes.
- Valutata 2 su 5di Chris Grimmett, 10 mesi faDark Reader has one of the most confusing user interfaces I have used. It is completely unfamiliar to any other software I use on a regular basis. I can't tell if any of the settings are in the on/off enabled/disabled state due to ambiguous design. For example, a button shows either x or ✓. Does x on the button mean I'm switching to x by clicking or does it mean x is the current state? Another toggle uses a left/right instead of x and ✓. A third type of button uses x and ✓ but it's only on the left side. Then there's the light/dark flat buttons which I fail to differentiate. Does light mean pressed or does dark mean pressed? There is a complete lack of predictability and logic and I can't understand how I'm supposed to use it. I'm looking for an alternative extension.
